Is literature a higher level of English? Some people may define literature in numerous ways. Professors and writers have tried to come up with one elevated level of literature. In actuality, there is no universe definition of literature. Everyone knows that literature is a branch that comes from the tree language.
I believe that literature is open to be fiction or non-fiction. Terry Eagleton claims that Formalists, passes literature over as the study of literary form. Meaning that appease was the stimulus of literary form. This form has tools that are use in dealing with many aspects of literature such as noise, conceptions, meter, and word formation. Although literature is a form of English, it is differentiated by its complex levels and disconnection with quotation language.
So what is literature? Do we finally have a complex way of defining literature? According to Terry Eagleton, he insists that the formalist think of literature as poetry. How could this be true, when there are various types, including that of American, Roman, and British. These different types of literature consist of works about the early 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries.
In my opinion, literature may be defined as written words of lasting excellence in a particular language, country, or age.
