Eric Longfellow

Main Characters: Eric
Supporting Characters: Natalie

Natalie: That’s so cool that you write poetry, you really don’t seem like that type of guy.

Eric: Well, there are a lot of things that I find hard to express emotionally. It’s just easier for me to show my deepest feelings on paper. Either that or with people I feel a real connection with.

Natalie: I know exactly what you mean. It’s like, I can’t talk to my friends about my most personal feelings and thoughts it would just be weird. And I used to talk to my ex, but… well you know that whole story.

Eric: Yeah but you’re better off. You should try writing some poetry.

Natalie: I don’t know. I don’t think I could do it. There’s so much thought involved and it just seems like it would be so hard.

Eric: It’s not hard at all. Actually, I wrote you a poem last night because I knew we were going to be hanging out.

Natalie: That’s so sweet will you read it to me?

Eric: Of course. Alright, it’s called Of Natalie.

Of Natalie
Dreams of a girl
Who makes me feel
A petal’s rose so tender
As a beautiful melody
Plays an artist inspired
An uncontrolled surrender

When I come near
That voice so sweet
And arrow’s Cupid lands
I lose all fear
And in my soul
My true emotion stands

Your presence sends
My thoughts awry
The jumbled words you see
Can only mean
That I still dream
Each night Of Natalie

Eric and Natalie: (Sex)… (Exit main character).

Eric: I’m all out of Natalie
         I’m so lost without you
         I know you were right
         Believing for so long

         I’m all out of Natalie
         What am I without you?

Natalie: Wait… Stop, did you just read me the lyrics to an Air Supply song and substitute my name for love?

Eric: No…

Natalie: Asshole (Exit supporting character).
