Undergraduate Admissions
Our Bachelor's in Arts degree is available to students who are currently pursuing their first degree and to those who are returning to college after attaining a Bachelor's degree already.
Prospective, Transfer, and Current Students
For prospective and transfer students, the English Department offers the Bachelor of Arts degree with sequences in Publishing Studies and English Education. The Department also offers minors in English Studies, English Education, Writing, and Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL). You can apply online for both our majors and minors.
Students seeking a Second Bachelor's degree
For students already holding a Bachelor's degree and interested in becoming an English Language Arts teacher, the English Department offers the option of a Second Bachelor's degree and certification as an English Language Arts Teacher in the state of Illinois.
Graduate Admissions
The English Department at Iillinois State has a variety of options available for students at the graduate level, inlcuding both degrees and professional certifications.
