Ryan Gray, Academic Advisor


Ryan GrayRyan Gray graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communications. He also holds a Master of Science in Education Degree, concentrating in College Student Personnel Administration, also from Illinois State University. Prior to coming to the English Department, he was the Coordinator for the Illinois Articulation Initiative ( He was also an academic advisor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for five years, working in both the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Business. Ryan is a member of the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), on the leadership team of the Illinois Academic Advising Association (ILACADA), and has presented at regional and national conferences. In 2013 he was the recipient of the Herb Sanders Award for Outstanding Advisement. He currently serves on ISU's Academic Advising Council (AAC) as Secretary/Treasurer, and also serves on the Assessment and Technology sub-committees of AAC.
