Biography
Dr. Brittany M. Brewer is an Instructional Assistant Professor of English Education at ISU. Dr. Brewer is also affiliated with the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program, as well as the School of Teaching and Learning.

Research Interests & Areas
Dr. Brewer's recent research focuses on queer young adult literature; how we approach facilitating feedback in ELA classrooms; arts-based research; and embodiment in and outside of classroom spaces. Faer's research appears in, but is not limited to, English in Education, Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, The Northwest Journal of Teacher Education, and Intraspection.
Dr. Brewer is also the author of the poetry chapbook Tendering the Body (Finishing Line Press) and microchapbook To the fae girl I couldn’t stop looking for (fifth wheel press). Faer poetry has appeared in Rougarou, Troublemaker Firestarter, Anodyne, Up the Staircase Quarterly, The Ilanot Review, the Journal of Language & Literacy Education, and Hole in the Head Review, among others.
